I'm thinking , do politicians visit places due to real concern or is it just an alibi to gain votes and popularity ?
After mondays horrific Meerut inferno in which hundreds lost their lives and many more were injured , Sonia Gandhi ( later followed by UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav ) visited the Meerut accident site .
Gandhi, who was accompanied by Union Minister of State for Home Sri Prakash Jaiswal and UPCC chief Salman Khursheed, inquired about the well being of those injured in the devastating fire."We have been to the hospitals. We have seen those who were injured, some of them are very badly injured," the Congress president said.
"The doctors have explained to us what treatment they are giving," she said.
Now this makes me wonder , are politicians really this caring ? Shouldnt the authorities be questioned for their negligence ? Its due to their negligence that so many have lost their lives. Organising such a state-of-the-art Trade Fair and a minor short circuit triggers off such a huge tragedy ? Who is to blame ? I'd say the authorities . And even then the authorities still dont learn , all the administration is trying to do is save their skin. No actual casualty figures have been let out . Damn It !
